Note 226

In accordance with model analogies, mesomeric structures  [a "mesomeric structure" is a structure -- of some organic body or organ, or molecule for that matter -- in which parts (mesomers) functionally mediate between other parts of that structure.]  may (also apart from the quantum mechanical stability consideration) in such a way be structured that from their distributional pattern [i.e. the distribution of mesomers in the structure] does result a determined super-structure, which in turn more or less stabilizes these mesomeric relationships. So there exist numerous possibilities to derive, already from a combination of known phenomena, special arrangements selected from a pool of possible arrangements, special arrangements, that is, possibly corresponding to determined functional orders. Equilibrium of the pseudo-mesomeric superstructure may be connected with the aspiration for state-preservation, while its [i.e. the equilibrium's] fluctuation may be connected with delight / unease.
