When we inspect organ tissues -- and thus not free-living uni-cellular organisms -- we see strong differentiations and therefore also have to do with more or less fakes. We cannot yet "read" our observations correctly [read from (differentiated) cell to (an otherwise differentiated) cell in the tissue].
