In spite of the fact that for denaturation of any kind uncountable possibilities lay open to us, the relevant body of knowledge is still not sufficient to clearly apprehend the phenomenon of denaturation, or even to carry out the reverse process. This simply reflects the fact that we can define denaturation only negatively, and then say that it is the cancelling of a special state characterizing life.
